Colours

By Srijani Roy We aren't monochromatic, These are the shades that we own; That the sorrows of yesterday And a year ago, Constitute the darkest colours of our life; Which might in turn Resonate the foundations of A brighter colour's shade, Pouring in for us to extract The sweetest nectar from our living.

Srijani Roy, 18, loves free-verse writing and indulging herself into the strains of verses and choruses. An ambivert, she finds solace in writing diary and doodling, She often reads books and listens to music that provides her with the inspiration for the themes and ideas of her write-ups.
